The Kalka College of Nursing, Partapur By-pass Meerut was started in July 2013 and takes pride of being the first of its kind to offer important courses of Nursing i.e. Diploma in general Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM), and B.Sc. Nursing.

GNM Programmer of Kalka college of Nursing is approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi and recognized by U.P State Medical Faculty.

The Institute has its own spectacular buildings with spacious well equipped classrooms LCD projector equipped seminar rooms, Museum, Council, and New Delhi. It has fully professional and experienced teaching staff.

A 250 bed KALKA general Hospital is attached with Kalka Nursing College which provides vigorous and detailed training to the students of the Nursing College.

The 250 bed Kalka General Hospital is situated in the same campus and building in which Kalka Nursing College is running. The Kalka General Hospital has OUT DOOR and INDOOR Facilities with a chain of specialized Doctors, such as Physicians, Surgeons, Orthopedic Surgeons, Gynecologists, ENT Surgeon, Radiologists, Pathologists and General Physician.

The Kalka General Hospital has emergency, male and female medical wards, male and female surgical wards, orthopedic wards, pediatric wards, ICU, Labour Room and a large well equipped main O.T and a minor O.T there is a 8 bed Air-conditioned private ward also.

The hospital provides antenatal check-up and treatment center for pregnant women and vaccination center for children The hospital is well equipped with a modern Pathology Lab, 300 MA and 100 MA X-Ray machines and a latest ultrasound machine Kalka General Hospital conducts specialized check-up and treatment camps in the hospital on cheaper rates for the surrounding poor and low income group patients.

The Hospital Provides Annual Health Check-up and treatment scheme package called “KIRAS Health Care Scheme” Hospital is maintained by a Chief Medical Officer cum Medical Superintendent

Nursing Laboratories
The following laboratories of the institute are as per norms
• Nursing foundation Lab: in this spacious, well ventilated lab several dummies, instruments, all concerned equipments are available.
• Nutrition Lab: The institute has a well equipped Lab where students are learning about therapeutic and nutrient food according to ht needs of the patients.
• Anatomy & physiology Lab: This Lab has Models of all the systems of the body, organs and all other separate organs.
• Biochemistry Lab: in the bio-chemistry lab the students are made aware of chemicals. The ingredients of medicines.
• Microbiology & Pat logy Lab: The microbiology Laboratory has been designed in such way that it is one of its kinds. The students are made to study and trained to handle microbes.
• Community Nursing Lab : We have an accommodative Health Nursing programme with the participation of people from the community.
• O.B.G Lab: Pediatric Lab O.B.G Lab has all the models of reproductive system and separate organs showing the development of pregnancy from beginning to full term baby.
• Audio-Visual Aids: The audio-visual aid room has over head projector, L.C.D., T.V. slide projector and all other electronic and electric equipments.

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM)
General Nursing and midwifery is a 3 year 6 months Diploma program (3 years regular study and 6 months internship). The aims of the diploma in GNM are to prepare nurses with a sound knowledge in nursing and to enable them to function as efficient members of the health team for he help in the prevention of disease & promotion of health
